    Ello Ello,

Firstly I want to say you are amazing for taking an idea like this and bringing it to life I love this site and what it entails. The idea that the site is portraying goes very far. I feel like this could be a great platform to help an artist/consumer out and actually start flowing into this site. I do have some feedback on how the site is progressing so far. so lets us get down to that.

    Feedback:

    • The placement of the Jobs tab and the Forums tab could be in the navigation bar or at least a bit larger for people to see. I did not know the forums existed until I scrolled all the way down and saw the secondary Navbar. Feedback is important and I really want this site to grow, so having that forum tab in a place where people just get into the site and immediately notice it along with the other tabs is a plus because I feel like that could be a sense of ease of access. (You know what for the jobs tab why not just make a tiny popup on the lower right corner of the screen saying "Like some of the designs here? Why not hire an artist? just click the jobs tab below to get started!")
    • I also remember you posting a forum about looking for feedback and how you had seen a repetitive pattern but in retrospect, you haven't seen the growth you wanted. I would say this is something that takes a lot of time and the fact that you've even gotten this far in such a short amount of time is Amazing and you should be proud of yourself. I don't completely know how far you have gotten into advertising. If you have not already You could plop this up on a massive community site like Reddit or even ask some famous artist to help showcase this program. I already see you pop up on google, then again its probably because Google has those advertisements that gear towards you based on what you search but nonetheless you are there. I also suggest making a facebook for the site because I know their advertising system to get you likes and views is pretty helpful. I've used it some of the time but It doesn't cease to truly disappoint me because you control the ad and searches people use to find you and what people you want to look for. Keep it up!
    • One thing I want to see from the interface on this site is a bit more diversity to the main page. When consumers pop into the site they see the main tabs of what types of art, they can see whats hot this week and search different artist and jobs when they click on it. I would like to see a diversity in a sense that we can see what's hot at the top. Like a top5 hot this week artworks and change that to the top 10 or 20 to see more and under that, we could see underdicovered or new people who joined to showcase their work. Kinda like you are "welcoming new people to the community" kind of changes. I think for those who are returning users there could be an activity or news page for them and the people they follow. (to see the work they make and such). Im not sure if im portraying this correctly but I will try to better my point in the future.
    •  This one is more of a suggestion that's up to you (basically I feel like it's not as important) It's just a sorting section to your portfolio. Like organizing to what design is which i.e graphic design tagged on some artworks and you organize that to see whats graphic design and whats just illustration or animation when someone or you yourself view the portfolio.

I feel like I have more feedback but I can't remember nor think of any more at the moment but when I do I'll try and write it down somewhere in the future. (Also thank you for adding PayPal because I use that all the time.)

Hey YukioDaichi, thank you for the kind words and the feedback. I'll try to address most of it.

The forums takes such a small place in the UI by design. I don't want to put much of an emphasis on the forums because they should, ideally, just be a minor part of the website. I almost didn't add forums at all, actually. As for the popup idea, I absolutely hate popups on other websites. They're a hassle to deal with. I wouldn't want that for Commend Me.

"You could plop this up on a massive community site like Reddit or even ask some famous artist to help showcase this program"

Haha maybe. I already feel pretty bad asking new artists to add a link to their Commend Me portfolio on their social media accounts. I am, however, trying to get in contact with various art blogs to see if they'd be willing to feature us. Also yeah, I'm considering MAYBE doing advertising on FB, but we're already doing instagram and twitter, and soon tumblr. I also do $300 worth of google adwords per month, but so far I'm not seeing much of an impact.

Hmm maybe in the future once the site becomes more active. Right now a top 20 would be like... nearly half of the submissions we get in a week! haha. And as for new artists, by default clicking on any of the browse links will be sorted by new, so I'm sure most artists will have a good chance at being discovered.

This is more-or-less already on the to-do list (it's a BIG to-do list). I want to make it so that artists can add customs themes to their portfolio, sort of like tumblr, and be able to move things around. We'll see, that would be at least a year from now, if ever.

Thanks again for the feedback. If you have any more let me know. And if you want to help us out, tell your friends!
